Upload your PDF
Click Upload PDF in the top toolbar or drag-and-drop any .pdf file onto the editor. Your file is processed locally and never leaves your session unless you save it to the Chest.

Select a tool
The left toolbar holds every tool: Select (arrow), Edit Text, Text Annotation, Sticky Note, Highlight, Strikeout, Underline, Freehand Draw, Line, Rectangle, Ellipse, Signature, Arrow, Polygon, Polyline, Rounded Rectangle. Click any tool to activate it.

Annotate
Click on the PDF page where you want to place the annotation. For drawing tools, click and drag. Double-click an annotation to edit its text or color.

Add your signature
Click the Signature tool ( ✏ ). Draw, type, or upload your signature in the popup. Click Apply to stamp it anywhere on the document.

Highlight & comment
Select the Highlight tool, then drag across any text. Right-click a highlight to add a comment note.

Navigate pages
Use the page thumbnail strip on the right sidebar to jump between pages. On mobile the strip scrolls horizontally at the bottom.

Save & export
Click Save (or Ctrl+S) to save to your Chest. Click Download PDF to export the annotated file to your device.

Share
Click the Share button to invite a collaborator. They receive an email with a link to view or edit the document.
💡 Pro tip: Hold Shift while drawing shapes to constrain to perfect squares and circles.

📱 Mobile Usage
Tap to select
Tap any annotation to select it. Tap again to edit.
Pinch to zoom
Use two fingers to pinch-zoom the PDF page for precise annotation.
Scroll pages
Swipe up/down to scroll within a page. The page strip at bottom lets you jump.
Signature on mobile
The signature tool works with your finger — draw directly on the screen.
Note: The PDF Editor processes your files in the browser. For large PDFs (>50MB) we recommend uploading in parts for best performance.
